About Patch Clinic
With well-over a decade of experience in the field, Kate Inglis is the Director and Principal Clinical Psychologist at Elite Clinical Psychology. Since graduating from the University of New South Wales with her Bachelor of Psychology and Master of Clinical Psychology, Kate has worked as a Clinical Psychologist in a range of roles across Sydney, Far North Queensland and Canberra. Her career to date has involved stints in the public hospital system, community mental health, the public service and private practice. With a background in pain management and the Autism Spectrum Disorders, Patch Clinic ultimately found that her passion is for helping clients to navigate trauma and anxiety. She chose to specialise in this area, and quickly developed a reputation for excellence in the treatment of the trauma and anxiety disorders. Kate Inglis has strong links to the veteran community, and frequently works with current and ex-serving members of the ADF and the AFP.
In 2016 Kate established Elite Clinical Psychology (now practicing as Patch Clinic), and in 2019 expanded by establishing Lakeside Practice, a suite of purpose-built offices situated on Lake Ginninderra, designed by Kate to provide the perfect environment for the treatment of trauma, anxiety and other psychological difficulties.
Kate brings to treatment a down-to-earth approach, warmth and a good sense of humour. Kate prides herself on her ability to establish rapport with clients from all walks of life, and does not ascribe to a one-size-fits-all approach to counselling. Kate tailors her treatment plans to each individual client, and often draws on strategies from several different evidence-based treatment modalities.
If you choose to work with Kate you will discover a clinician who is open and honest, non-judgemental and highly experienced. Kate’s aim is to equip clients with the skills they need to manage their own mental health and wellbeing.
Kate is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) and holds PBA Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist. Kate is registered with Medicare as a provider of Clinical Psychology Services, with the Australian Federal Police as a preferred provider, and with the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide psychology services to veterans and their families through Open Arms. Kate is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and a Fellow of the Australian College of Clinical Psychologists.
